HomeAway Software is seeking a talented team-player to generate new business within the Western US prospecting, presenting, and selling our enterprise software systems built for professional vacation rental companies: Escapia, V12.NET, and Glad to Have You. This position will report to the Director of Sales and is base plus commission. This is a highly visible role which requires strong relationship-building and consulting skills, as well as knowledge of how our software and listings technology can help Professional Property Managers build their businesses, increase occupancy, and streamline operations. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, present, and sell complex, Software-as-a-Service vacation rental management software to property managers throughout the Western US including Hawaii, the West Coast, and Mountain West
  • Outbound prospecting (email, phone, and in-person visits) to identify key contacts, uncover opportunities, and generate interest
  • Excellent and professional qualification and follow up on leads from website inquiries, trade shows, and partnerships
  • Identify and document prospect's needs, expectations and priorities
  • Conduct in-person and virtual demonstrations of Escapia, V12.NET, and Glad to Have You
  • Document every touch point with customer and prospect database via Salesforce.com
  • Attend and present to groups and individuals at trade shows and other sales events to support your sales goals
  • Work closely with rest of the HomeAway Software sales team to close new deals and build your book-of-business

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of outside software sales experience required
  • Shown success in lead generation and lead qualification
  • Knowledge of CRM Systems (Salesforce.com a plus)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and proven organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of Internet technologies
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Sales training or solution selling training preferred
  • You are a highly motivated, dependable self-starter with the ability to work independently while maintaining a sense of teamwork
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Location:

  • Based in our offices in Austin, Seattle, or Denver
  • Up to 20% travel
