The Role - Account Executive

We are looking for an entrepreneurial sales & business development professional to take ownership of our Sales and Customer Development and drive it forward. Your responsibility will be to generate new business and you'll work collaboratively with the rest of the core team at OK Roger to develop our new customer pipeline, gathering continuous insights from customer conversations to continue to refine our sales collateral.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generating revenue and closing new business to continue to ramp up our traction ! 
  • Continuously gathering insights to (a) continue to develop our sales pitch (b) influence product development and roadmap 
  • Conducting Demos etc by working with our Operations Team 
  • Generating leads of prospect qualified customers (there is no marketing department yet !) by using ANY and ALL creative means.

What we’re looking for

  • Super sharp analytical mindset - someone who can not just problem solve with customers, but actually help them discover their problems ! 
  • A solid understanding of psychology and excellent interpersonal & communication skills. You consider yourself to be a very strong influencer 
  • Ability to work in a team but also very independently to deliver results. 
  • An appetite (and a track record) for taking calculated risks 
  • Quick learner and someone who likes to flex their learning muscles all the time, is not just excited by change but is actually the carrier of change. If you are all about structure and process, we are a bit too early for you ! 
  • You really need to demonstrate a hunter/closer ability. You can hustle and hunt to figure out where the prospects are and identify with their pain-points and then Close them 
  • You need to be very comfortable working in a very unstructured fast-paced environment. What matters at this stage is results - however scrappy they come. Scale comes later. 
  • You need to have strong oral and written communication skills and ideally be a master of creatively messaging our value-prop to users and customers. You should be able to write great copy yourself when you need to

Desirable Experience

  • You are someone who might have started in an SDR capacity and grown into an AE role. 
  •  ~2-3 yrs of experience in a startup environment (were you the 1st or 2nd Sales Hire and were you able to grow business !) 
  •  ~2 -3 yrs of experience in a mid-size or large Sales Organization (do you know what it takes to build one, do you know the tools, systems and processes) 
  • Graduated with a degree from a well-recognized institution with high academic credentials 
  • Have worked in a Transactional Sales Environment to grow a SaaS subscription business selling between 5-50 seats per account. 
  • Prior experience of starting & growing your own business is a huge plus !
