 We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Account Executive with experience selling technology; and ideally someone who has either owned or operated a restaurant where you have felt the pain that our software solutions solve. You will be responsible for managing a territory and proactively reaching out to ensure client satisfaction/retention while continuously hunting and closing new business. The ideal candidate has a history of bringing on new business and hitting sales quotas and loves the challenges that come with outbound prospecting in a competitive market.

 Who you are:

  • You are a hunter with 3-5 years of proven experience as an Account Executive, or in other sales/customer service role in the technology industry
  • Ideally, you have owned or operated a restaurant or have extensive knowledge of the restaurant industry
  • BSc or BA in business administration, sales or marketing is preferred
  • You have a growth mindset – belief that you are in control of your own ability and destiny and can learn and improve.
  • You know what it means to have a high level of customer service and empathize with your customers at all stages of the sales process
  • Self-starter that thrives on helping companies scale and break new ground
  • You have managed varied deal sizes to consistently reach quota
  • You have sold a product/service that customer does not know/feel they need
  • You’ve sold technology to non-technologists
  • You have outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Salesforce) is a plus
  • You are organized with strong time-management skills
  • Your Enthusiasm and passion for what you do is contagious
  • Bonus points if you have hands-on knowledge of and have used Compeat or Ctuit products

 The key responsibilities for this role are to:

  • Create detailed business plans to facilitate the attainment of goals and quotas
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal through a unique combination of relationship and transactional sales
  • Present products to prospective clients
  • Provide professional after-sales support to enhance the customers’ experience
  • Remain in frequent contact with the clients in your responsibility to understand their needs
  • Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data in our CRM (Salesforce)

What's something quirky about your company?

A large percentage of our employees come from the restaurant industry. We are all foodies and often share recipes, bake incredible treats for each other and just enjoy each other's company (online and in person). In fact, I am the mixologist tonite and showing the team how to make a signature Compeat cocktail and mocktail at our Happy Hour.

What projects are you most excited about?

Currently I'm most excited about Improving the way our customers can order from their vendors. Our Restaurant back office features are battle tested and have been used for millions of hours, so finding ways to continuously improve that experience and bring customers joy, cost savings and efficiencies is very rewarding.

I started where lots of great people started at Compeat, in support. I was able to take more challenging projects and eventually worked my way to Technical Account Manager. Later, I was asked to move over to development, where I currently live as a database developer. Thanks to Compeat, I was able to grow and learn!

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

Every other month I host small group meetings with 7-10 employees over Zoom. It's during these sessions that I can help create a safe, inclusive environment where our team members can ask me anything. These meetings have been invaluable for me personally as my top priority is the well-being of this amazing group of employees.



How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

Compeat is continuously improving its technology stack and client satisfaction. This is thanks to the guidance we receive from our leadership. I'm glad that we can innovate and provide new ideas to our clients to improve their business.
