Acquisition Partnerships Manager at Self Financial (Austin, TX or Remote)

About the Role:
Self is looking for the next great addition to our Strategy Team. An Acquisition Partnerships Manager will help develop and execute on our partnership strategy. The ideal candidate has experience in working in either affiliate partnerships and/or higher education audiences in either a sales or business development capacity. They would also have experience managing sales cycles from prospecting, to pitching to negotiating to closing.
This individual contributor role will both execute our existing strategies and contribute to the development of new strategies and channels.
Experience:
- 3+ years in Strategic Partnerships and or Affiliate Marketing (not traditional sales) in at one two of the following markets: Fintech, Consumer Financial Services, Student Loan Products or Higher Education-Specific SaaS, OR;
- 5+ years of experience in full cycle sales (ideally including some level of account management experience) directly or indirectly to audiences related to the Higher Education audience
- Experience with Impact Radius or Commission Junction (or similar) is a plus
- Proven track record of hitting and/or exceeding annual quota
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of Self’s products, the consumer credit market
- Execute Self’s existing employer channel strategy by prospecting into and securing partnerships directly or indirectly
- Aid in the further development of our strategy as it relates to to making Self available to the higher education audience
- Contribute to the creation of new, channel-specific partner materials and processes
- Contact targeted potential partners to educate them about the value of partnering with Self
- Partner closely with legal, marketing, finance, technology, partner management and other departments to seek guidance through the process and align on business implications
