We are seeking an outstanding Associate Account Director to join our growing team. Role Summary 

The Associate Account Director leads broad-based, sophisticated workstreams and is critical to the smooth running of accounts, a credible advisor and has strong marketing communications experience.  

The ideal candidate for this role has mastered communications project management and has a strong POV on the health care and digital health market. They confidently lead client projects and internal teams, encouraging smart, effective and integrated solutions. They always deliver results and client satisfaction. This position offers the opportunity to become an internal leader while developing positive relationships with clients.  

Job Responsibilities 

Operations: 

  • Lead team to ensure technical and operational excellence in all executions. 

  • Use good judgement and technical knowledge to identify red flags; raise issues and risks appropriately; recommend proactive solutions to mitigate risk. 

  • Collaborate with colleagues and peers throughout the business to streamline, elevate, and innovate our tactical processes.  

Mentoring: 

  • Train staff on W2O processes, account management responsibilities and the healthcare / digital world.  

  • Understand cross-functional capabilities and motivate cross-functional collaboration.  

  • Motivate teams through engaging and active management and career development practices. 

  • Set clear performance objectives and utilizes all management tools to communicate alignment and performance measures.  

Client Relationship:  

  • Thoroughly understand and communicates clients’ expectations internally to ensure staffing resources and performance expectations are met.  

  • Maintain effective communications to ensure there are no surprises and W2O’s work is meeting all expectations. 

  • Contribute to client financial management; establish and meet internal client and project revenue targets. 

  • Participate in quarterly and annual communications planning and business analysis. 

  • Lead multiple client projects of varying sizes in a fast-paced environment. 

Strategy: 

  • Collaborate with client peers to drive solutions that respond to business and communications challenges. 

  • Develop a detailed understanding of W2O’s capabilities to help spot opportunities for the client to achieve greater success. 

  • Work closely with the client and internal teams to identify organic growth opportunities. 

  • Build drafts of decks for programs, media strategies, POVs, etc. for review and input from senior team members. 

  • Look for ways to identify, develop, and grow integrated business (social media/digital, content). 

Required skills and qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field or equivalent experience is required. 

  • 6+ years within the PR, communications, and / or advertising industries. 

  • Must have healthcare PR experience; integrated experience preferred. 

  • Thorough understanding of the constantly evolving digital world. 

  • Outstanding project management skills; demonstrated ability to meet timelines, prioritize and handle detailed budgets. 

  • Excellent business & data communication skills. Can explain complex technical terms, clinical trials, and studies pertaining to the brand. Able to communicate critical information to management and the client. 

  • Able to develop documents and presentations and guide strategy for junior staff.  

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong and productive client relationships. 

  • Able to develop solutions to client needs and problems. 

  • Ability to advise and synthesize research for new business. 

  • Have a professional presence, perform with a sense of urgency and with a profound client service orientation. 

  • High energy; able to operate in fast-paced, growing and evolving environment. 

  • The position may require some domestic travel for client meetings and conferences (10 percent).
