Reporting directly to the Inside Sales Manager, the Business Development Associate will be responsible for overseeing and driving business growth focused acquiring and on-boarding licensed independent physicians, multi-physician practices and supporting efforts in expanding provider partnerships.

Job Responsibilities

As Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing long-lasting relationships with qualified doctors, veterinarians and other healthcare practices in the US and internationally.
  • Conduct outbound calls and field inbound calls, emails and chats of new and assigned contacts.
  • Schedule and provide hands-on product demos of Medici with the goal of acquiring new usage.
  • Proactively prospect, qualify, acquire and work through a portfolio of clients, delivering on assigned data-driven monthly, quarterly and yearly targets.
  • Collaborate with your manager and other stakeholders to manage sales forecasts, develop monthly reporting and build future sales plans.

Manage and use defined business metrics and maintain assigned CRM to ensure consistent effectiveness of the platform’s user journey and maximize sales and conversion potential.

Skills & Requirements

  • 5-7 years demonstrable sales experience as a top performer required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • Hands-on experience and comfort using Hubspot, SalesForce or related CRM systems to manage book of business.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred. Direct experience calling on physicians a plus.
  • Comfort to easily work within a high-velocity deal cycle; managing pipelines of over 150 prospects at a time.
  • Increasing levels of responsibility and expertise evaluating opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, sales, and retention within a book of business required.
  • Capable of articulating the Medici vision and get people excited about their futures using the product.
  • Previous sales or business development experience in start-ups, emerging business or technology preferred.
  • Strong professional presence including excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking and organizational skills.
  • Must be an engaging, quick-thinking and motivated team player individual with a positive attitude and be a self-starter. Easily able to build collaborative cross-functional relationships in addition to working independently as needed.
  • Must have active social media profile and have exposure and understanding of mobile and web technologies.
