Manager, Business Development

 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Report directly to the Director of Enterprise Sales
  • Manage and grow a team of 4 Business Development Representatives who prospects to Fortune 1000 accounts
  • Partner with sales leaders to understand initiatives and growth goals plus help develop programs to achieve those goals
  • Understand gaps and develop strategies and implement processes to fill them
  • Motivate the team to follow up on lead generation and convert leads to opportunities
  • Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential customers we are the company to do business with
  • Drive business development rep success; monitor activity and progress, identify coaching opportunities for success
  • Recruit, train and develop new talent
  • Build new outbound automation processes for integrating acquisitions and identify work arounds or best practices for successful integration

 What You'll Need:

  • 2+ years of direct management experience (required)
  • 5+ years of direct sales experience in high-tech or service-related industries, preferable cyber security or software sales
  • A team player who has a proven track record of driving business development opportunities into Enterprise accounts
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written communication and strong/succinct oral communication skills essential
  • Proficient in Salesforce.com
  • Experience in marketing automation tools like Outreach, Marketo, HubSpot
  • Solid problem-solving and consultative skills
  • Higher education preferred
  • Competitive nature with a solution-focused mindset
  • Demonstrated success leading high performing business development/sales teams
  • Relationship builder – both internally and externally
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

  This is an onsite position based out of our Austin, Texas office. We prefer hands on collaboration, so this position is not available for remote workers.
