Business Development Manager
The Q2 Marketplace is changing the industry by offering Financial Institutions an App Store experience of third-party solutions pre-integrated into Q2’s digital online banking platform. This new team has an opening for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for procuring partners and developers to innovate within the Q2 framework and distribute through the Q2 Marketplace. It’s an exciting time to be part of this new business inside of Q2 and an opportunity for this individual to make a big impact for the Marketplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruit and drive a funnel of new partners to build integrations and launch solutions into the Q2 Marketplace for consumers and SMBs
The ultimate goal is to drive revenue from end user purchases, through and with Q2’s Financial Institution customers
Determine the right set of priority partner targets and develop the strategy to recruit them into the program
Evangelize the Marketplace message and value proposition to prospective partners
Be knowledgeable about value of specific categories of partnerships based on the needs of end-users in the Q2 ecosystem in order to effectively target the right partners
Effectively pitch and position the power of the Q2 SDK and APIs to both a business and technical audience
Collaborate with Marketplace Operations to ensure partner on-boarding is a smooth transition from business development and the foundational required components are in place
Play key role in helping negotiate and improve Q2 Partner agreements for speed and efficiency
Work with marketing to ensure partner messaging, collateral, demos, presentations, due diligence packets are all seamlessly integrated into the Q2 Marketplace framework
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
10+ years in the Technology Software Market in Business Development or Sales role
Previous experience in financial services technology vertical is ideal
Proven experience building and procuring partner relationships for a channel
Proficiency in SDK and API development, documentation and training is required
Proficiency in using Salesforce CRM or Servicing tools
Strong influencing skills and ability to build relationships both internally and with partners at senior levels
Previous experience building relationships with C-level and technical executives critical
Superior communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Self starter who thrives in building new businesses
