The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is your first stop in your career with us where you will be responsible for generating sales leads for sM using the best techniques available (phone, email, social selling). A typical day could be 5-6 hours of active prospecting against predefined target lists mixed with 2-3 hours of coaching, education and development. The prospecting activities are performed within an environment of 2-3 top prospecting software to execute follow up cadences, analyze conversations and track results. Below outlines what a typical career path may look like for you:
Your First 6-12 Months
Learning the product and messaging
Learning the right tools, cadences, and strategies
Generating quality leads for sM account executives
12-18 Months
Become a senior SDR / Team Lead
Help support the continued build out of the SDR program
Continue to build on your core skills and continue to produce successful results
18-24+ Months
Become a SDR manager
Recruit, hire, and manage SDR’s and have oversight of their success
Continue to support the build of the SDR program
Begin to expand knowledge of the account executive (AE) role
24+ Months
Eligibility to become a sM AE
AE’s would be responsible for running demos and closing deals
AE’s would be then eligible to become an AE district manager
Desirable candidate characteristics include:
High Integrity
Grit and Perseverance
Curiosity and continuous learning
Comfort level as a user of software / technology
Demonstrated interested in sales and marketing
Minimum 2 year college degree, preferably 4 year degree with a major in business or technology
Some previous sales experience desired though not mandatory (starting level will be correlated to previous sales experience)
