Come join the Sales Team as a Business Development Representative - Tax. We believe we have a fundamental opportunity to remove the burden of taxes from every small business owner in America. We can and will ensure that small businesses maximize their income and minimize their tax liability. In this process, we have an opportunity to create radical transparency in the market for tax advisory that helps introduce transparent pricing and high standards of quality. We can and will change the way that tax experts work and engage with their customers - from once a year to year-round, from reactive to proactive - in order to serve small businesses at scale.

Our Business Development Representative's prospect out to potential and new leads to develop and qualify their interest through gaining a deep understanding of the customer's business needs and in turn transfer to the sales team to provide a consultative strategy for long-term success.

You will

As well as prospecting and qualifying new leads, the scope of the role will also include meeting certain performance metrics. You will:

  • Handle inbound customer inquiries across all channels (email, phone, chat)
  • Implement several outbound sales & marketing campaigns
  • Achieve outbound call and conversion targets set by management team
  • Responsible for building lead pipeline
  • Meet or exceed monthly targets and departmental KPIs including high outbound call and conversion volumes
  • Ability to work harmoniously with others towards individual and team targets
  • Collaborate across multiple teams and with senior team members to achieve results
  • Research information about prospective customers using available resources
  • Build trust in the company and ensure our customers are provided with accurate product knowledge
  • Resilient and able to stay focused on winning over potential customers despite setbacks or rejections
  • Help establish the processes for the team, maintaining current operations whilst reporting/suggesting changes needed

Who you are

  • You have an Associate's degree, or equivalent experience
  • You are customer-centric
  • You are a multi-tasker and quick to respond
  • You have impeccable communication skills
  • You take pride in exceeding goals
  • You are a self-starter who takes initiative and works with limited direction, efficiently managing time to achieve targets
  • You have at minimum 6 months experience in telephone sales or telemarketing and are comfortable with a high quantity of outbound calls per day
  • You have experience with Salesforce or similar CRM applications
  • You have working knowledge of personal computers, including Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to navigate multiple applications
