Overview
As a Business Development Representative, you will generate leads and turn them into opportunities for the Personify suite of products and services. You’re hungry, eager to learn new things and fearless. Hearing ‘no’ won’t ruin your day, and you can effectively interrupt prospects’ days to talk about our industry-leading, compelling products & services with utter confidence. You’ll introduce prospects to Personify solutions & then work with your Sales Directors to ensure success through the sales process & into implementation. Qualifying is your primary focus, with an opportunity to grow your career into other areas of the business as you demonstrate success in this role. Being fearless & comfortable on the phone, creative in your approach and collaborative with the sales team are all extremely important.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Develop & implement a winning prospecting strategy to ensure optimum outreach
Curious: desire to constantly learn and process new information about the industry, solutions, partners, customers, and competitors
A self-starter: open to guidance & direction but able to get things done
Collaborative: a strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced, fun and demanding environment
Appropriately aggressive “hunter” mentality, adept in using creative efforts in cold calling process
Transfer solid leads to appropriate Sales Directors and work in a collaborative team environment
Excel at qualifying opportunities to ensure the right level of follow-through and commitment
Achieve monthly activity and opportunity generation goals
Identify, pursue, and qualify top opportunities for sales within the market
Learn constantly: products, process, skills
Contribute to our culture of energy & enthusiasm for service
Qualifications
1+ years’ experience in a SaaS/software environment
Familiarity with non-profit organizations, trade associations, professional societies, or the events industry a plus
The ability to learn quickly and be a self-starter
Excellent oral and written communications
EQ – emotional IQ, empathy, & ability to quickly establish credibility
Experience working with Salesforce.com a plus
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and prospects at any level
Highly detail-oriented, particularly given our fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with internal and external resources
