Carrier Learning & Development Specialist
At Arrive Logistics, we believe a comprehensive training experience is the foundation of success. To support this belief, we have an entire team dedicated to the creation and execution of our robust training program. We are excited to add a Carrier L&D Specialist to our team who can leverage their previous experience to train and mentor new sales reps as they transition from training to the sales floor. This role is an opportunity to take ownership of each rep’s performance and add value to our existing training program through hands-on mentorship & development. Qualified candidates will be able to perform multiple job functions that span the Carrier Sales Training experience.
Essential Functions:
- Support training and development initiatives for Carrier Sales Reps including: 1.) Supporting training during the week of Foundations. 2.) Assisting in conducting classroom breakout sessions for Carrier Sales Reps while they are in the Assistantship phase of training. 3.) Coaching new Assistants and, as needed, Phase 1 reps regarding strategy for sourcing lanes and developing carriers in their designated zone. 4.) Listening to calls and provide feedback to Assistants as needed
- Design training materials for both Carrier Sales and Coverage programs with support, direction and feedback of the L&D and Business Leaders
- Build strong partnerships with the L&D leadership team and Coverage/Carrier Leaders to continuously improve training initiatives
- Support the onboarding team by facilitating the greater New Hire Classroom training on an as needed basis
- Collaborate with other members of the L&D team on various department projects/tasks
Education and/or Experience:
- 1.5+ years of carrier-facing sales experience at a third party logistics provider and/or transportation company.
- Experience training, mentoring, and/or coaching Sales Representatives or Operational Support teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexible & solutions-oriented
- Proven work-ethic in a high volume setting
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to challenge reps & hold them accountable through goals & metrics
- A proven knack for building productive relationships with a wide spectrum of people
- Unafraid to get their hands dirty! You can identify opportunities, pick up the phone and lead by example when needed
- Ability to communicate, educate, delegate and facilitate exceptionally well where our newest employees are concerned
- Exceptional communication skills (both verbal & written)
