Our Director of Customer Sales will help our Enterprise Business Unit at WP Engine acquire new prospects and grow current customers to see new and increased value in the world's most trusted WordPress platform. Reporting into our VP of Enterprise Revenue, you will lead install base teams to over achieve revenue targets. Over the last 10 years, WP Engine has grown to be the largest provider of WordPress Enterprise solutions, and we've continued that growth with focus on the Enterprise. We are looking for a dedicated sales professional with experience in sophisticated buying cycles, sales methodology, and process. The right person will be passionate about equal parts coaching and team development, Enterprise sales management, and growth strategies.
The day to day.

  • Leading our Enterprise sales teams, you will drive innovation and performance improvement in a repeatable Enterprise SaaS sales model.
  • Serve as Executive sponsor on key deals, helping your leaders negotiate complex contracts and MSAs.
  • Helping our sales teams over-attain quota regularly.
  • Maintain a high quality sales pipeline, teaching leaders and sales reps how to qualify and disqualify using MEDDIC.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success leadership to ensure deal quality in efforts to reduce future churn.
  • Participate in business strategy and planning, management and financial reporting, product roadmap prioritization, and customer experience.
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Revenue Operations teams to optimize sales and marketing efforts.
  • Responsible for the overall net new sales pipeline and forecasting of new bookings, cross sell, up sell and add on sales to existing clients.
  • Use data and testing to make intelligent, informed recommendations, decisions, and forecasts.
  • Utilize industry standard tools, technologies, and innovations to WP Engine's competitive advantage.
  • Hire, develop and coach a team of Enterprise sales professionals, working with Sales Enablement on ongoing learning and proficiency development


Your skills and expertise.

  • 6+ years of leadership experience relevant in an enterprise sales team, consulting, or business strategy roles focusing on accounts with
  • Strategic problem solver who collaborates across departments
  • Excellent leadership skills and an ability to inspire and encourage direct and cross functional teams
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM.
  • Experience setting quotas, running pipeline reviews and forecasting revenue back to the business using both data and deal mechanics.
  • Proactive and driven: independently capable of seeking information, corralling resources, and delivering results in a variety of situations
  • Infectious can do and will do, positive demeanor
  • Confirmed dedication to continuous improvement
  • Successful at working in a team and mission driven culture
  • Some travel required.
