Director Sales Operations

Our Director of Sales Operations will be an integral member of our Sales team, partnering with Sales, Channel, Customer Success, and supporting teams to determine strategy, implement performance metrics, and influence the alignment of all sales operations. This role will drive sales effectiveness by establishing measurable processes to improve sales efficiency and determine growth goals. This Director of Sales Operations will drive GTM performance, produce actionable reporting and analysis, and build enablement programs to partner with sales leadership to influence decision-making and results.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Align and drive strategic initiatives from Sales leadership across internal Sonar resources and groups to further improve sales performance
- Guide standardization of analytics and KPIs across Sales teams to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Partner with Sales leadership in maintaining accurate and updated Sales forecasts for executive review
- Lead pipeline performance analysis to identify areas of concern and best practices. Use this analysis to provide actionable feedback and areas of focus
- Facilitate and advise annual planning activities to align headcount and segmentation for optimal execution and performance for Sales Teams
- Partner to prepare business analysis for QBRs, All Hands and lead staff calls for Sales lead as needed
- Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work responsibilities or environment (e.g., people, processes, structure, or culture); adjust effectively to change by exploring the benefits, trying new approaches, and collaborating with others to make the change successful.
- As a people manager, foster a work environment that encourages people to act with integrity and treat each other and their ideas with respect; creating and protecting a high-trust environment by setting an example, advocating for others in the face of challenges, removing barriers to trust, and rewarding others for demonstrating behaviours that cultivate trust
- Own Business Intelligence, using data analysis and storytelling to generate business intelligence insights for the team
- Leverage data and analytics to build sales enablement programs that remove frictions and increase efficiency and effectiveness
The skills you will demonstrate
- Proven success in driving operational excellence
- High motivation for continuous improvement and ability to drive impact
- Experience working with a SaaS company; high-growth startup experience a plus
- Experience working in a high-volume, PLG, or inbound-demand Marketing and Sales GTM funnel
- Understanding of and ability to articulate trends in churn, expansion, ARR, LTV, CAC, etc.
- Skilled in Salesforce platform with the ability to converge system capabilities with an optimal internal process to deliver end-to-end data intelligence needed to meet targets and drive growth
- Superior organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to independently identify problems, propose solutions and execute those solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Quantitative discipline
- 5+ years experience in Sales Operations or Business Operations
- Experience in building and leading a high-performing team, with 3-years of people management experience
