Director of Sales, Renewables
RigUp is looking for a leader with a knack for building sales teams who can scale a small handful of people into a high-performance sales team. We’re a start-up team within a hyper-growth organization looking to take our sales teams to the next level. Critical to success in the role is the ability to identify training and process gaps and drive disciplined accountability, develop teams and managers, and while maintain a high performance culture.
In this role, you’ll drive revenue and market share growth within our wind and solar markets. You will recruit, hire, train, and coach your team, measuring success by the number of new customers acquired and our ability to grow and scale the business.

What you'll be doing:
- Meet or exceed sales targets
- Develop and execute a plan for scaling the team structure and goals
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline
- Nail and exceed your team's KPIs
- Develop account prioritization criteria
- Build strategic relationships with key accounts and industry influencers
- Deliver feedback to product teams to improve our tools, technology, and products
- Drive accountability through performance management and commitment to sales coaching and development of every team member.
- Identify training needs and work with Sales Enablement & Training to address the identified gaps
- Work closely with Sales Enablement to perfect scripting/messaging, pitch packs, and presentations, etc
- Lead or assist with sales operations, planning, and forecasting
What you should have:
- 7+ years of sales experience in either B2B or B2C
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing individual sales contributors
- Experience scaling a product or a business unit and developing go to market strategies
- Strong knowledge and documented experience of success in a marketplace business
- Understanding, exposure, and experience in the energy and renewable sectors
- Program management or process improvement experience
- High level of comfort working in and explaining technology platforms
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally
- Strong communication skills in both writing and speaking
- Analytical and experienced with managing business forecasts and budgets; organized, data-driven, and goal-oriented
- Strategic mindset with an eye for good process and scalability
- Detailed knowledge of Salesforce & Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to thrive in an environment of rapid growth, change and ambiguity
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to travel domestically 20-30%
