The Disclosure Desk Specialist will be responsible for accurate preparation and timely delivery of mortgage disclosures for loans generated by SAGE Mortgage. These responsibilities include producing disclosure(s) and delivering the document to consumers in accordance with company and CFPB guidelines. The Disclosure Desk Specialist must have a firm understanding of the compliance/disclosure desk position, RESPA and TRID guidelines, and timing requirements to ensure accurate and timely delivery of all disclosure documents pursuant to state and federal mortgage regulations.

What You’ll Do: 

• Prepare Disclosures to ensure accuracy in accordance with RESPA/ TRID
• Ensure the Loan Estimate is accurate and meets CFPB standards for TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosures.
• Reviews, verifies and ensures that mortgage loan disclosures are accurate prior to them being sent to out to borrowers.
• Ensure disclosure package is completed and securely delivered in timeframe specified by applicable federal regulations.
• Track timely receipt and signature of the Loan Estimate / Closing Disclosure to begin required wait periods according to the Rule.
• Validate fees associated with the applied mortgage transaction.
• Check 1003 for accuracy and completeness.
• Manage company pipelines for initial, revised and final disclosure sets making sure proper disclosures are sent out within the proper time frame.
• Communicate proactively with all parties involved in the preparation of disclosures to avoid issues at closing.
• Respond to inquiries from MLOs, other support staff effectively and concisely.
• Develop and maintains a thorough understanding of Mortgage’s loan origination system.
• Develops and maintains knowledge of federal regulations and disclosure guidelines affecting residential mortgage origination.
• High school diploma, or equivalent.
