What You'll Do
As a Global Software Specialist, you will play a leading and pivotal role in not only facilitating ThousandEyes Software and Recurring Revenue but focused on driving and bringing together the ThousandEyes opportunity under a variety of Cisco’s Enterprise Agreement offer constructs and buying programs. You will be responsible for the success of ThousandEyes across all global regions, including Americas, EMEAR, and APJC.
You will work closely with senior management within region (segment and specialist leads), account teams (including partners), architecture specialists (PSS), Sales Engineers, CX, Services and Cisco Capital across the global, and often take a leading role running and coordinating multiple opportunities on the ground. Particularly as a complimentary offering under more complex Multi Architecture opportunities.
You will work closely with customers (coordinating available account resources) to establish the size of their Enterprise, and to ensure their current and future ThousandEyes software needs are brought together accurately, where ultimately, they can be combined and represented under an Enterprise Agreement construct.
You will take a lead role in positioning, pricing and proposing, with a focus on the broader value proposition found exclusively under a range of commercial and operational benefits associated to an Enterprise Agreement.
You will also lead and represent the ThousandEyes business on any non-standard requirements with various internal partners such as Cisco Account Managers, ThousandEyes Sellers, product BE’s, BU Finance, Commercial Finance and Legal.
Who You Are
You’re a consultative seller with a high level of validated sales experience combined with a high level of business acumen. You are commercially oriented in your approach, comfortable and expert in negotiating with customers across all levels, but in particular, at senior management to CXO levels within finance, procurement and legal.
You also understand, at a high level, the technologies that are the foundational building blocks to our Enterprise Agreement offers.
You are a self-starter, motivated, and someone who demonstrates initiative when facing difficult or challenging situations. You relish outside of the box thinking, have a challenger mindset and very comfortable leading change. You flourish with, and enjoy overcoming objections to help our customers, partners, and Cisco realize the extended value a software led approach can deliver.
Our minimum requirements for this role include:
- Demand generation / pipeline building.
- Complex Sales Cycle Management.
- Pricing and Proposal generation including scenario based financial modelling.
- Forecast accuracy and quota attainment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent commercial / business insight.
- Cross Architecture (Enterprise Networking, Data Centre, Collaboration & Security) experience preferred.
- MBA or similar qualifications highly regarded.
