Global Sales Proposal Analyst
In this role, you will provide essential support to the sales team at a rapidly growing Austin software company. The ideal candidate will approach their work with meticulous detail, owning the roles of tactician and strategist. You will review and develop a plan and schedule for the response, delegate elements of the response to team members, develop and provide necessary content, and produce full and final proposal packages for submission. Our work environment is casual and fun, but we also work hard. The ideal candidate will be positive, proactive, assertive, and innovative, with well-developed written and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate technical requirements in RFP/RFI documentation, and select appropriate responses from a managed RFP database
- Analysis of requirements and manage response workflow
- Creation of a quality proposal
- Enter and analyze RFP data to provide visibility to the team and to assist in capacity planning
- Maintain and enhance existing RFP database with content and documents to minimize the effort and enable others to respond to RFPs
- Improve proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate responses; implement changes
- Work closely with Sales Engineer and Product Marketing teams to enhance RFP team’s product / technical knowledge and update RFP database accordingly
- Working with Global Sales Teams, accommodating of various time zones and languages.
Skills:
- Ability to understand and become conversant in identity governance technology
- General understanding of technology and software required, previous experience working for a software company or a related technical field preferred
- Quick learner with the ability to absorb new terminology and product information and translate it to written proposals and knowledge database
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and prioritize and tasks in order to work on multiple projects in parallel and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Confident, professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in a busy environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Salesforce.com
- Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills and good judgment
- Willingness to show initiative and enthusiasm when taking on new projects and responsibilities.
- Understanding of the sales process and business operations
- Fluency in a second/additional languages is a strong plus.
Experience Requirements:
- 2-5 years of proposal writing, technical writing or other relevant experience
- Previous experience working for a software company or in a related technical field preferred
- Previous sales or business operations experience preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or four years of work experience in a similar role in a Communication, IT, business or sales related field.
