About the department
We are looking for a Technical Business Developer to build, develop and maintain relationships with players in the Office Real Estate ecosystem. This includes all types of Real Estate Owners, Investors, Managers, Brokerage and Connectivity Enablers. You will be part of our Global Infrastructure team, which specializes in building relationships that allow Cloudflare’s network to continue to scale across the globe. Our group takes a long-term, technical approach to forging mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships with our portfolio of suppliers across the telecommunications, electronics and real estate landscape. The team engages internal and external stakeholders to build a better Internet through the horizontal and vertical expansion of our network. You will help drive our initiative to bring Cloudflare’s network to thousands of locations globally with a focus on offices.
What you'll do
- Drive our Cloudflare for Offices partnership initiatives
- Develop and execute partnership opportunities with various players in the real estate and internet infrastructure landscape
- Identify, organize, and engage with internal and external stakeholders around office internet infrastructure deployment
- Develop and execute complex negotiations to deliver partnerships that increase our ability to extend our infrastructure to commercial offices
- Leverage your existing network to enable Cloudflare to deploy infrastructure in many building end points
- Build industry and community engagement to deepen perspective on real estate property tech trends, specific provider capabilities and more
- Represent Cloudflare credibly to external partner management
- Become a trusted advisor to the business by reporting on market trends, making purchasing decisions, reporting findings and delivering sourcing recommendations; track cost-saving initiatives and perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis
- Own relationships with players across real estate ecosystem
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- 10+ years of working in the commercial office real estate industry (preferably for a RE owner, property manager or brokerage firm)
- Experience developing partnerships in the Real Estate/Property Technology/Building connectivity world
- Technical acumen around proptech, building connectivity and internet infrastructure
- Commercial Real Estate market and trend “know how”
- Thrive on a high level of autonomy and responsibility, manage complex projects across multiple teams across multiple time zones within set deadlines
- Ability to influence change and work with ambiguity
- Confidence in communication with senior leaders
- Superb problem-solving and relationship-building skills in complex supplier and internal customer relationship environments
- Proven negotiation skills and a track record in value creation for all parties
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong financial and business problem-solving acumen
