What You Will Do
Ascension is seeking a Provider Relations Representative for Austin, TX. This is a field-based opportunity, with travel required throughout the Austin, TX area and surrounding counties. In this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with Physicians, Hospitals, Ancillaries and large or complex Physician organizations (Providers). Other responsibilities may include:

• Ensure consistent communication, support and education to Providers on relevant topics like claims and/or authorization issues, new initiatives, and of the availability and functionality of the provider portal.
• Serve as the primary lead for Joint Operating Meetings of assigned Providers.
• Serve as a Subject Mater Expert (SME) on incentive program(s).
• Request, analyze and review provider-specific reports.
• Offer alternatives and/or resolutions to undesirable report findings.
• Identify and dissemniate best practices within the Network while adhering to established guidelines.
• Collaborate with leadership, co-workers, and staff in other departments to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

What You Will Need
Education:

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.

Work Experience:

• 3 years of experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

• BA/BS in Business is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in managed care (Provider Relations/Services; Claims Adjudication, Medical Coding, Contracting) preferred.
• Prior experience with Medicaid or CHIP strongly preferred.
• Valid and clean drivers license and car insurance.
