Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity to support the rapid growth of our stores at the Home Office in Austin, TX! Reporting to the Director of Retail Operations, our Retail Operations Manager will work cross functionally at the Home Office to create and manage processes and procedures as it pertains to our retail stores. This role combines the need for proven retail experience and exceptional collaboration skills to oversee the successful implementation of operations in store.
Responsibilities:
Operations
• Manage daily operations as it pertains to the stores and Retail Operations department
• Field operational inquiries from the stores
• Partner with cross functional departments at the Home Office to manage operational strategy and execution across all stores
• Partner cross functionally with the Distribution Center and Procurement to manage supply strategy and execution across all stores
• Assist with special projects as needed
Labor/Expense Management
• Strategic evaluation of Payroll/Labor Expenses; driven to find ways to maximize effort and expenses
• Manages hours allocation and labor budgeting (Floor Set, Training, Special Projects etc.)
• Proactively identifies needs, risks and relevant mitigation strategies
• Partners with Retail Ops Analyst to provide expense reporting
• Approves store expense request and tracks monthly budgets
Inventory
• Partners with cross functional departments at the Home Office to manage inventory accuracy strategy and execution across all stores including Merchandising, Planning & Allocation, and the Distribution Center
• Assists in determining launch and replenishment in store delivery cadence
• Assists with inventory processes and schedule including cycle counts and physical inventory
• Assists in determining inventory operational direction as it pertains to initiatives and promotions
Events & Marketing
• Partners cross functionally with Marketing regarding initiative logistics across all stores including collateral quantities and distribution
• Manages and maintains event tracking system across all stores
• Partners cross functionally at the Home Office with Accounting to review Kendra Gives Back check submissions
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 7 + yrs. relevant experience, preferably in retail
• Strong analytic capability and attention to detail
• A proven ability to break down larger initiatives into consumable achievable tasks to achieve departmental and company objectives
• Ability to clearly articulate plans and ensure team is aligned
• A solutions-oriented mentality with a data driven approach
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Office 365, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with KWI POS and back office functionality
• Experience with Oracle POS and back office functionality
• A growth mindset: track record of leveraging past learnings, encouraging new ideas and smart risk taking in self and others
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to build cross functional partnerships to make effective decisions collaboratively
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to create new training content for the Retail Team.
