About the role:

Blackbaud is looking for a Client Account Executive with 3-5 years software sales experience in our Faith Based Vertical responsible for building stronger relationships between Blackbaud, yourself and a portfolio of 180 – 250 existing ministry, church or faith focused Blackbaud clients already using our powerful and versatile software. You will work with these clients to uncover needs and opportunities to expand the use of Blackbaud products and services, helping them to achieve success towards their fundraising, marketing, financial, website, and organizational goals. What you’ll be doing:

  • Reaching and exceeding monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets
  • Maximizing direct and indirect sales in the assigned geographic territory
  • Qualifying sales opportunities
  • Providing return on investment (ROI) solutions in the form of product and service proposals
  • Continuously updating and maintaining prospect database for pipeline management, daily activity and forecast data
  • Utilizing sales force automation tool: Salesforce.com
  • Managing the initial sales process from lead to close
  • Employing the use of value selling methodology to investigate and identify customer needs and to determine solutions
  • Managing account proposal development to ensure the best overall presentation of Blackbaud to the customer
  • Staying abreast of changes in nonprofit markets that impact products or services
  • Staying informed about the competition
  • Reaching and exceeding monthly, quarterly and yearly sales targets

What we’ll want you to have:

  • Prior experience selling/implementing complex software and service solutions.
  • Prior experience selling to or working with nonprofit organizations is a plus.
  • Preference given to candidates with 2 to 3 years of technology related sales experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven success in creating effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales quotas.
  • A Bachelor’s degree.
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to propose clear, compelling and value-focused solutions.
  • Excellent time-management skills with the discipline to handle multiple tasks and adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Approximately 30% - 50% travel within territory is required.
