Sales Enablement and Training Manager – Job Description
The HotSchedules Sales Enablement and Training Manager will coordinate, implement, and conduct on-going enablement programs (training) and optimize/deploy onboarding programs for the Sales and Customer Success teams using a variety of learning vehicles.
This role will partner with several teams to develop training programs. Objective is to ensure sales reps meet and exceed expectations.
Collaboration and coordination required across groups including:
- Sales Management
- Implementation
- Marketing
- Product
Key Responsibilities:
● Create, implement, and maintain certifications for new sales reps and CSMs including:
● Product knowledge
● Effective territory planning
● Prospecting skills
● Discovery
● Closing
● Work directly with new and struggling sales reps to develop sales skills, market strategy, product knowledge and territory planning
● Create and implement new product certifications and maintain yearly certifications for all reps
● Create, implement, and maintain a 30 / 60 / 90-day plan for new team members
● Develop and maintain a process for new reps to create a “go to market plan” for their territory by week four
● Review market plans semi-annually with rep and rep’s supervisor
● Develop training around competitive situations and edge cases
● Oversee feedback mechanism to ensure action plans are developed and followed up on by sales management
● Create individual training plans for sales and CSMs
● Conduct quarterly review meetings with SaaS Operations to 1) Help identify and communicate process improvement needs and 2) Identify sales and CSM operational training opportunities
● Review new-hire progress with sales managers. Work with fellow training manager to develop action plans where needed to improve performance
● Provide input to fellow Training Manager on Sales and CSM Training Playbook
Job Requirements:
● 5+ years in software sales field
● 5+ years in software sales enablement and training experience
● Bachelor's Degree in business related field preferred
● Restaurant technology and operations experience preferred
● High sales aptitude
● Strong communication and relationship-building skills
● Strong understanding and ability to articulate new technologies and corresponding value propositions
● Energetic, creative, organized, and self-motivated individual
● Ability to deliver on business commitments
● Strong understanding of Salesforce.com
● 1+ years experience with Google Applications (i.e. Sheets, Docs, Mail, Slides, Drive)
