Vyopta is currently seeking a full-time Sales Engineer to join our growing company. At Vyopta, we’re building products that change the way enterprises collaborate. In this role, we are looking for someone who thrives when working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate. The Sales Engineer must be able to seamlessly articulate technology and product positioning during the pre-sales process.

We are looking to become even better by adding a technical, sales-minded and dynamic team member to our group. Individuals without direct unified communications industry experience need not apply.

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate professionally to senior executives as well as technical staff. 
  • Ability to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive problem solving.
  • Well-rounded, dynamic team player interested in helping to build a business and to be compensated according to performance.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and analytical.
  • Refined interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical support and deliver in-depth solution presentations and demonstrations
  • Showcase Vyopta solution and how it solves critical problems/challenges faced by the customer and facilitate technical Q&A.
  • Develop demos and presentations to highlight Vyopta’s capabilities to support specific customer use cases.
  • Presenting the Vyopta solution at conferences, seminars, etc.
  • Prepare technical documents and respond to technical questionnaires (i.e., IT, security, network) as required.
  • Document customer feedback (e.g., problems to solve, technical requirements, product issues, feature requests) and convey to product management team.
  • Ability to travel up to ~20% within sales territory.
  • Produce and continually maintain support material and technical understanding of Vyopta solution and competitive products.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years related professional industry experience, including at least 2 years of sales engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher. 
  • Strong UC domain knowledge and sales engineering experience with Cisco Unified Collaboration Manager (UCM) as well as other elements of the Cisco UC technology platform (i.e., Cisco Prime Collaboration).
  • Experience with deploying collaboration solutions in large enterprises.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing/interpreting customer requirements.
  • A competitive drive to meet and exceed individual and team targets.

Nice to Haves

  • Sales engineering experience with Microsoft Skype for Business supporting voice and video at large enterprises.
  • Familiarity with Vyopta products.
  • Enterprise software startup experience.

We are located off South 360, on the beautiful Barton Creek Greenbelt in south Austin.
