As a Channel and EDU Solutions Engineering Manager at Duo, you’ll manage a team of Solutions Engineers supporting top security partners, managed service providers and educational customers while forming strategy to further grow and scale the team to new heights. Our SE Managers are players and coaches, and are passionate about career development and watching their SEs succeed. You will work closely with the Security Partner Managers and EDU Account Executives to grow Duo business as well as bring in new partners and accounts. You’ll use strong leadership skills, vision and ability to execute on overarching sales goals.
What you'll do:
- Provide strong leadership, vision, and direction for the national Security Partner, Managed Service Provider and Educational solutions engineering teams
- Architect, implement, and execute on an overarching sales strategy and vision for rapid revenue growth and new partner and EDU customer acquisition expanding our market share
- Recruit, hire, and lead a high performing solutions engineer team
- Track and analyze solutions engineer activity to understand and capitalize on buying trends and patterns
- Maintain Subject Matter Expert level knowledge of Duo solutions, competitive landscape and adjacent technologies
- Stay ahead of the competitive landscape and security industry trends
- Establish policies and processes for the team to ensure revenue growth
- Algin with the wider SE leadership team contributing and managing work you're doing used throughout the Sales organization
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of experience selling software and security solutions in a technical capacity in Channel, Enterprise and/or Educational segments.
- 3+ years direct management experience in associated technical support, sales engineering or professional services roles.
- Proven track record of success, driving revenue growth against quota and increased profitability and/or experience onboarding partners and growing revenue through partners in the SaaS industry
- Proven experience running and coaching deals through a structured and repeatable sales methodology
- Deep experience in field sales standard methodologies and building, coaching and mentoring a solutions engineer team
- Experience selling and supporting teams in direct and indirect/channel sales environments
- Entrepreneurial, self-directed with a passion to succeed
- Analytical and metrics driven through all stages of the sales cycle
- Knowledge of commonly used security technologies and protocols including Firewalls, SSL, two-factor authentication and Single Sign-On
- Understanding of security aspects such as identity and access management, identity management, and encryption protocols
- Experience running complex workshops and proof-of-concepts
- Excellent business communication and project management skills
- Ability to collaborate across geographically dispersed functions
