Job Description

The Sales Operations Analyst I works closely with Marketing Operations and Sales Operations management and other key leadership in the Sales and IT organizations.  This role reports to the Global Sales Operations team.  The primary responsibility of this position is enriching marketing leads with additional company and contact attributes, and routing those leads to the sales teams in Salesforce.com.

 

The Sales Operations Analyst I is responsible for driving execution of the marketing lead to sales handoff. This role requires previous demonstrated experience in some of the following: Salesforce contacts, leads, and opportunity management, DiscoverOrg usage to augment prospect and contact information.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Monitor a handful of Salesforce lead queues throughout the course of the day
  • Utilize DiscoverOrg to look up contact, company, and other information to add to the Salesforce lead record
  • Based on lead attributes such as geographic location, customer size, or other characteristics, assign the lead in Salesforce to the appropriate salesperson or sales team
  • Create tasks in Salesforce and assign them to the appropriate salesperson or sales team
  • Work quickly and continuously through a queue of leads, prioritizing leads with higher Marketo scores or more favorable buying indicators
  • Provide feedback on lead quality to marketing operations
  • Gather feedback from business development and sales teams on lead quality
  • Reassign leads as ownership change or conditions require
  • Reassign opportunity ownership as required according to account ownership rules
  • Balance multiple priorities and deadlines

    Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in Sales Operations or other business role
  • Demonstrated competence in Salesforce administration, reporting, and management
  • Demonstrated experience routing leads in Salesforce.com preferred
  • Experience using DiscoverOrg preferred
  • Must be a US citizen

  • Ability and personality to articulate processes in a meaningful way to our marketing operations and sales operations teams
  • Strong analytical and accuracy skills required
  • Be a confident self-starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
