What You'll Do:
The Sales Operations Analyst (SOA) is responsible for driving Sales team performance. The SOA will provide analytics support of the Sales leadership team, providing clarity of the sales pipeline, forecast (predict) and performance (track and improve). In addition, the SOA will define Sales needs with respect to Salesforce, and represent and support the Sales organization (Inside Sales, MSP & Channel Dev, International, Renewals and Sales Development) with respect to processes around quoting, contracts, procurement and tools administration.
Here's a closer look at the duties in this key role:
- Be responsible for the collection, analysis, and reporting of sales-related data in an ongoing effort to increase overall sales productivity and achieve company revenue goals
- Clear Sales pipeline reporting, and consistently create tie-backs (a trail) to the Marketing activities that support/impact pipeline dynamics.
- Command metrics and analysis responsibilities such that Sales leadership can focus on hiring, training, selling and enable quick, data driven decisions.
- Establish key ratios associated with personnel reqs (key indicators for when Sales and Marketing staff are required to optimize business growth).
- Develop sustainable approach for customer and market analysis and profiling; market segmentations; program tracking and evaluation.
- Analyze historical and ongoing account growth characteristics to better approach upsell and renewals and maximize key account/enterprise growth opps.
- Configure salesforce.com in alignment with best practices and company processes such that all key data is captured and accessible for reporting.
- Design, implement and maintain repeatable, consistent processes for all typical operational sales processes such as comp plan design, territory design, commission calculations, ongoing SFDC process training, forecasting processes in SFDC, field support and SFDC administration and hygiene.
- Produce and maintain a series of dashboards in SFDC that visually represent key performance metrics and trends for sales, marketing, finance and executive team.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree Required (finance, statistics, or business degree preferred)
- Desirable computer skills: Advanced Excel skills (including running macro-based reports). Windows/Mac, Internet, Social Media
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- 2+ year Salesforce.com experience. Expert user and administrator of salesforce.com
- Ability to build simplified and beautiful reports and slide decks (Keynote familiarity a plus)
