Sales Trainer

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Trainer to join our Learning & Development team in our Austin office. The role is directly responsible for training new hires and existing employees, ensuring they have the skills, product and competitive knowledge necessary to acquire new clients and help existing ones Sell More on the BigCommerce platform with 3rd party applications.
What You’ll Do:- Coordinate, schedule and deliver compelling training programs to enhance the skills of newly hired and current sales & support staff and/or management
- As the first interaction new employees have with BigCommerce, ensure that new hire training is engaging, fun and full of BigCommerce Mojo Moments
- Produce training materials as appropriate; amend and revise materials as necessary, in order to adapt to changes that occur in our processes and product
- Teach processes and procedures, information about our platform and soft skills to our sales staff
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the BigCommerce platform features, benefits and differentiators. Be able to articulate those nuances to trainees.
- Establish excellent working relationships with all key sales managers and other SMEs around the company
- Analyze current competency assessments for sales and work with the training manager/stakeholders to identify a training plan to fill the identified knowledge gaps
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years experience creating and facilitating new hire sales training programs in a dynamic environment
- Experience in both high-volume, transactional and solution-based sales a HUGE plus
- Knowledge of various sales training methodologies
- Ability to create training content that utilizes common adult learning theory methodologies and best practices
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including presenting information and responding to questions from groups of agents, supervisors, and managers
