Senior Manager, Business Development - Rx Saver
We are the Healthcare team at RetailMeNot. We are a new team that is passionate about helping people save money on their prescription medicines. Drug prices vary by pharmacy location, so we search several of the nation's lowest pharmacy discount sources to find prescription discount cards, coupons and Rx assistance programs that save people money.
We are looking for an extraordinary leader for our RetailMeNot business development organization that will help us create strategic partnerships to drive top line growth within our new Rx Saver platform. In this role, you will handle all aspects of partnerships with some of the most respected digital and healthcare companies in the world, from initial networking to contract negotiation to concept launch. You will play a fundamental role in crafting and executing RetailMeNot’s strategy in nascent but high potential adjacent markets such a pharma, travel and offline commerce.
Who You Are
- 6-8 years of experience in business development, strategy, or consulting in the healthcare space
- Healthcare and consumer products experience required - pharma experience a plus
- Entrepreneurial background in technology, mobile and/or retail preferred
- Extraordinary project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence and persuasion
- Excellent computational and analytical abilities and keen attention to detail
- Experience in one of the following domains, either through direct experience or partnership experience: online coupons, online marketing services, digital media, revenue generation, or merchant-side marketing.
- Excellent communication skills in all forms: written, conversational, negotiations, presenting
- Abundance of patience with long deal cycles and changing internal priorities
- Strong business/finance fundamentals (MBA or comparable experience)
- Real passion for networking and strategic deal making
- Always has a pulse on what is happening at the intersection of technology, healthcare, retail, and digital marketing
- Some travel required but will likely vary upon the individual's approach to the role
- Proven people management skills
What You'll Do
- Report directly to the VP Corporate and Business Development at RetailMeNot
- Establish and maintain strong external relationships ranging from senior executives to line employees at a variety of prospective partners - pharmaceutical benefit managers (“PBMs”), pharmacy organizations, digital media companies, digital shopping tools, etc.
- Negotiate and manage new strategic partnerships to expand traffic and/or revenue for the RX Saver Platform
- Lead all stages of the commercial deal process, managing each step from strategy/planning, pipeline development, prospecting, outreach, terms negotiation, contract drafting and negotiation, and product implementation
- Conduct market research and devise growth strategies, with a focus on organic growth as it relates to the Rx Saver platform
- Work with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, business intelligence, operations, mobile, etc) to implement, incubate, and scale up new partnerships or revenue streams for the Rx Saver platform
- Track, measure and provide analysis on success rate and return on investment of various partnerships, to inform future resource allocation related to the Rx Saver team
