As a Cognite Senior Sales Development Representative, you will apply your tenacity, creativity, relationship, and communications skills to develop new prospects. You will be responsible for building pipeline through outbound prospecting and following up on marketing-sourced leads.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and manage lead development pipeline
  • Generate engagement and leads with a multi-channel approach (i.e., LinkedIn, email, events, phone.) Use data to improve channel effectiveness.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly goals for qualified leads to Sales
  • Qualify leads based on defined criteria
  • Conduct baseline research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting calls
  • Create an outstanding first impression with our prospects and customers by providing a world-class experience
  • Understand a lead’s needs and effectively communicate how Cognite will meet them
  • Document various details, including use case, existing technologies and approaches, purchase timing, buying process, stakeholders, next steps.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other stakeholders to create and run effective campaigns
  • Partner with our experienced Business Development Directors to help fill their pipeline and develop your sales skills
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer interest in Cognite’s solutions
  • Develop and run outbound sequences in Outreach.io
  • Update salesforce.com on a daily basis
  • Proactively learn Cognite’s solutions, competitive offerings, and market knowledge
  • Present and demonstrate our solutions in-person and via web-based presentations
  • Approximately 10% travel (trade shows and visiting the Oslo headquarters once or twice per year)

Who You Are

  • Two or more years in sales development (enterprise software-as-a-service)
  • Experience in one of Cognite's target heavy asset industries (energy, power & utilities, manufacturing)
  • High energy and a positive problem-solving attitude
  • Proven track record meeting and exceeding goals
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Detail oriented, strong relationship-building skills, and a passion to be viewed as the customer’s trusted advisor
  • Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills -- including being naturally curious to uncover the why behind customer's questions and asking your own high-impact questions
  • Self-starter, able to work in a team environment, and superb time management and prioritization skills
  • Bachelor's degree
