HotSchedules is currently looking for a Business Operations Specialist for our Commercial team! 

The Business Operations Specialist is responsible for leading the strategic design, usage and business-side maintenance of systems, applications, and processes for use in the Commercial organization.

Solution areas include: Salesforce CRM and CPQ (former SteelBrick), NetSuite, Xactly commission system and Natero.

This position also provides input and support of training on effective use of applications and the processes they support. This is a hands-on position that requires an understanding of a variety of technologies as well as a willingness and ability to learn new technologies.

Territory alignment and optimization, sales budgets and commission plans are all items this role supports. This position requires knowledge of sales, marketing, and business processes.

Principle Job Duties and Responsibilities:                                    

  • Oversee the maintenance and improvement of sales tools systems for field sales teams. Monitor the assigned sales organization’s compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data. Work closely with sales management to optimize the effectiveness of technology investments.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with teams responsible for information exchange within the SFDC CRM. This includes, but is not limited to: providing a central point of contact within the Commercial Organization for all change requests and alterations, collaborating with enablement team in creating or updating training materials, providing training and first level Commercial team support, building custom reports and dashboards specific to job functions, maintaining control of access rights, security settings and user privileges, and working with IT (Biz Apps team) to manage project implementation and back-end integration.
  • Coordinate training delivery for various solutions and tools to commercial teams and commercial management to achieve annual sales goals.
  • Provide input in the development and administration of sales territory planning and incentive compensation programs.
  • Manage the efficient and accurate coordination and delivery of all field sales incentive program compensation to the field.
  • Coordinate communication with Finance regarding information and documentation requirements related to commissions/SPIFs. Perform quality reviews of Sales Managers’ commission reports and trend their actual sales against forecasted goals.
  • Other assigned duties or miscellaneous tasks.

Required Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience in operations within field sales, marketing, or another relevant commercial function.
  • Excellent analytic skills and demonstrated experience in analyzing and synthesizing data to make informed decisions using Excel and other tools.
  • Prior experience with contact management databases (preferably SalesForce CRM), core understanding of incentive concepts and approach (Xactly preferred), and computerized accounting software packages (preferably NetSuite).
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operations levels.
  • Demonstrated experience with priority management, attention to detail, and problem solving and solution implementation.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to perform a wide range of duties.

Required Education:

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or business-related field.

System and Process Experience:

  • CRM systems - SalesForce certification preferred
  • CPQ process and approach – SalesForce CPQ (Formerly Steelbrick) preferred
  • ERP data structure and functionality – NetSuite preferred
  • Customer Success Software and process experience – Natero preferred
  • Incentive pay-out systems – Xactly preferred
