Strategic Partner Manager, Technology Partnerships

The Strategic Partner Manager is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and programmatically managing a large ecosystem of technology partners. You will work closely with the partner marketing and partner operations team to ensure scalable and effective engagement with our non-tiered partners, to help them grow their business on the BigCommerce platform.
What You’ll Do:
- Implement and manage ongoing partner communication and engagement in a scalable, programmatic way with non-tiered partners, including office hours, partner newsletter, weekly email digest, partner best practices, webinars, slack channel, etc
- Review and approve/decline new partner applications and ensure an optimized onboarding experience as partners enter the BigCommerce ecosystem
- Develop and manage a Growth Partner Program to nurture a select list of successful partners and upgrade to higher tiers as they reach strategic value
- Develop dashboards with success metrics, including specific KPIs that support merchant adoption of partner technology solutions and revenue growth for both BigCommerce and partners. Examples of quantitative metrics such as active partner growth over time, average time to app launch, total revenue share, and total net new business from non-tiered partners
- Work with the Partner Management team to identify, nurture, and hand-off key relationships when they reach strategic value
- Closely monitor and maintain reports for all non-tiered technology partners, including revenue share, sponsorships, and program fees, to ensure that partners are following all program guidelines and meeting requirements
- Act as a liaison between product, marketing, and BigCommerce’s services teams as it relates to new feature announcements, app upgrade requirements, product beta invitations, etc.
- Act as primarily point of contact for all escalations and partner inquiries (internal and external) from all non-tiered partners
- Ensure quality control and partner ecosystem health by identifying bad actors and working cross-functionally to develop an exit path for partners not well-suited for our partner ecosystem
- Ideate and execute on long-tail partner acquisition and activation campaigns
- Assist leadership in cultivating an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement
Who You Are:
- 3+ years software or SaaS channel or partner ecosystem experience with a focus on partner management in a rapidly growing and fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a Recurring Revenue or SaaS organization
- Keen understanding of a variety of ecommerce platforms including Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Shopify
- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in business or similar field preferred
- Master Communicator - You provide the information people to the right people at the right time in the right way, adjusting your approach to fit the audience and setting (one-on-one, small and large groups, peers, direct reports, and leaders inside and outside the organization). Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and client / partner relationship skills are critical

You have a deep understanding of Salesforce.com and CRM best practices and ideally have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and internet technologies (shopping carts, web hosting, email, and online marketing tools)

- Travel Flexible - Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed. This job may require upwards of 25% travel to meet with partners which may require overnight stays or week-long stays at locations (depending on project)
