Activating and funding our business through partnerships at a global level is critical to our success. Vrbo is looking for a strong business development expert who is trained and skilled at building relationships with global strategic brands in the travel & accommodation space. This individual will also be responsible for creating, tracking and closing all associated partnership opportunities within a particular areas of our growing business. This role will work side by side with Global Traveler/Partner Marketing, Partner Success, Retail and Traveler/Partner Product teams.
Prospect and develop partnerships with mutually agreed upon value added service brands, large 3rd party consumer brands and innovative products in the vacation accommodation space
Create and execute partnerships with brands in defined areas to increase value to the Supply, Homeowner (Partner), Traveler and Payments side of our business
Execute multi-channel, integrated plans with focus on US markets scaling to designated global markets
Assist with achieving revenue goals of overall Vrbo business by developing business case metrics in partnership with Finance and Commercial teams
Negotiate and structure partnership contracts/agreements
Navigate with internal teams to ensure program alignment and execution are meeting business needs
Report to Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships
Who You Are
Skill / Experience Requirements
5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development or Strategy
History of successfully partnering with accommodation and consumer focused brand
Experience partnering with Senior and C-Level Leadership
Strong business acumen in relationship building, business development and product
Ability to develop and grow relationships
Proven results in hitting aggressive business development targets and making an impact to the bottom line
Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate Vrbo’s value proposition
Bachelor’s degree required
MBA from top program is a plus
