Minimum qualifications:

  • 3 years of Sales/Customer Engineering or Professional Services experience.
  • 2 years of cloud experience with distributed compute environments, cloud application development, hosted services, storage systems, remote Linux/Unix system administration, or content delivery networks.
  • Experience writing software in Python, Go, JavaScript, Java, or C++.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Industry-relevant accreditation.
  • 2 years of Training and Enablement experience.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships at senior levels without direct authority.
  • Ability to take broad concepts and vision to develop structured plans, actions, and measurable metrics and then effectively execute those plans.

As Google Cloud Technical Field Readiness Lead, you will be responsible for defining the technical framework for training and readiness for Google Cloud Platform Products and Services. This framework will include defining the training requirements for technical field roles, creating the content strategy, and delivering key modules for the readiness program. You will leverage contacts and ensure field technologists are well equipped with role-related skills, hands-on experience, and knowledge of available resources. You will also drive planning and execution of key events and conferences for internal and external technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Perform needs assessments in coordination with internal teams. Translate business/technical needs into training offerings and programs.
  • Deliver technical training for onboarding and ongoing enablement to technical field audiences.
  • Oversee the development of technical training content by partnering with curriculum development teams, product managers, vendors, and other subject matter experts. Assist in the development of the master plan and calendar for field enablement activities throughout the year.
  • Execute key enablement events and conferences with the appropriate pre- and post-event activities to drive learning and retention.
  • Design, implement, and assess metrics to measurement of training programs’ impact, effectiveness, appropriateness, and utility. Measure and report on the effectiveness of technical enablement investments.
