Technical Solutions Architect, Channel Sales (North America)

What you’ll do
We are looking for an outstanding Technical Solutions Architect to join our team of superheroes in the Channel organization. You will have the opportunity to be the partner interface of an exciting new technology. You will work closely with the channel sales team in presenting ThousandEyes in prospective partner opportunities; be instrumental in working with prospects during trials of ThousandEyes to highlight business value; educate partners, prospects, customers and the sales team on ThousandEyes and how it applies to industry trends and business initiatives; and accelerate ThousandEyes growth through growing market awareness of ThousandEyes and closing business.
The candidate should possess the following:
- Excellent presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of application and network protocols (e.g., HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, BGP)
- Knowledge of application and network infrastructures
- Knowledge of unified communications
- Experience with APM & NPM analysis solutions
- Experience with packet capture and packet analysis
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Javascript)
- Experience with Apple, Linux and Microsoft operating systems
Responsibilities include:
- Support the technical sales process through the channel
- Engage the channel to educate, certify and support sales activities
- Assist in demonstrating the solution to showcase capabilities and use-cases
- Build and maintain a technical and trusted advisor relationship with and through Partners
- Assist customers directly and indirectly through partners with solution trials
- Advise in scoping and architecting solution deployments
- Assist in addressing decision makers during trial wrap-up meetings
- Participate in weekly team meetings, sales meeting, and business reviews
- Present technical topics and successful wins
- Share technical challenges and ways to overcome
- Help establish and improve demonstration material showcasing the solution
- Research technical topics impacting the industry to grow as an industry leader
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, and Engineering
- Support ThousandEyes Connect events
- Suggest and contribute to white-papers and case studies
- Provide solution feedback from day to day use and customer interaction
- Participate and advise on internal and external solution beta programs
- Coordinate with Customer Success in providing post-sales support (e.g., training, deployment, support)
- Encourage and guide customers to utilize Customer Success as an extension of their NOC to help ensure success
Requirements:
- Proven ability and consistent track record of over achievement in a Technical Sales or related profession
- Experience working in or with partner organizations responsible for channel sales
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with Salesforce
- Moderate travel required
