Training Specialist - Career
Q2 is growing the Sales Enablement team and is seeking a Sales Trainer to help develop and lead the training efforts for our global Sales team. This role will be responsible for developing and coordinating training programs for initial onboarding, reinforcing sales strategy and methodology, conveying best practices, improving knowledge repositories, and refining sales engagements through coaching and feedback to sales leaders. This is a great opportunity for a growth-oriented individual experienced in working with sales leaders to create impactful training for a wide variety of learning styles, experience levels and backgrounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify training opportunities by working closely with Sales leadership to prioritize training needs by team and proactively address gaps in knowledge and content
- Continuously improve role-based onboarding programs to reduce ramp up time for new employees and improve skills of tenured representatives and leaders
- Coordinate product training needs by monitoring upcoming releases and working with other teams including Product, Development, and Release Management.
- Deliver training content using a variety of media and methods, such as: classroom lecture and discussion, behavioral learning and simulations, documented instruction, and various e-learning or distance-based options
- Develop and administer comprehension exercises, monitor and measure participant progress, and serve as a resource for ongoing training inquiries to ensure successful engagement from participants
- Promote consumption of training resources by assessing and improving usability, availability, relevancy and awareness
- Coordinate logistics (agenda, room setup, A/V, catering, presenters, etc.) for training events; leveraging the Executive Assistant pool for assistance as appropriate
- Responsible for ensuring that all Q2 security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years progressive, related experience in a role that demonstrates an ability to develop and deliver training content and work across teams/departments.
- Banking, financial services, or financial technology (FinTech) industry experience strongly preferred.
- Previous experience planning and managing large scale sales events/trainings including sales kick-off and awards ceremonies.
- Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering results that directly impact the global Sales team’s ability to book revenue.
- Must be effective in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base and constantly evolving product suite.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and a knack for navigating cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated competency in change management and leading through influence.
- Ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand and retain fashion.
- Must be highly organized & analytical with the ability to eliminate obstacles through creative & adaptive approaches.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
