HomeAwayPartner Success is seeking an Austin based Training Specialist (Trainer) for our Global Partner Success Training & Development team. This training team consists of professional trainers, designers, and coaches working together to increase the effectiveness of Partner Success Managers and Account Managers through new hire training, HomeAway product and tools updates, continuing education and ongoing coaching. We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, experienced trainer with very strong selling (Optimization) and persuasion skills.

This Training Specialist position will be focused on supporting local sales/partner success leadership to continuously improve, train, and drive their teams’ knowledge, skill, and ability to position the value of HomeAway’s products and eCommerce optimization services. The training specialist will report directly to the Americas Training Delivery & Coaching Manager and will need to work effectively in a dynamic matrixed environment.

The Sales Training specialist will be responsible for building & delivering training material for the US sales team with a priority focus on new hire, product, sales process/tools for both Owner & Property Manager optimization teams. Working in a global team environment, the Sales Training specialist will ensure the successful implementation of new or existing programs to meet the training needs of the US team. The position will also include supportingQuality Assurance activity related to evaluating adherence to a global sales process and customer messaging. The Sales Training Specialist will build strong relationships with local Sales leadership and provide ongoing training program support and consultation. This person be asked to have excellent skills in researching and translating technical topics into engaging content that sales can understand and apply. What you’ll do:

  • Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:
    • Manage and coordinate identified training content and delivery to ensure consistency, quality, accessibility and overall effectiveness of training programs.
    • Administer new hire sales training programs in coordination with sales managers
    • Collaborate with global instructional designers to create new and update existing training content
    • Track training metrics
    • Develop and implement innovative methods to deliver training material
    • Support Quality Assurance initiatives to evaluate adherence to a global sales process to ensure consistency with customer engagement, sales messaging, and process (call monitoring enablement, time studies).
    • Lead training delivery (directly or coordinating with a subject matter expert to deliver training) and quality enhancement projects to improve Sales effectiveness and productivity.

Who you are:

  • 1-3 years professional experience in training industry
  • eCommerce Optimization experience a plus
  • Experience leading group training classes and/or public speaking
  • Demonstrated experience in applying the principles of instructional design and development
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing products, deadlines, and requirements.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in learning and development methods
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing products, deadlines, and requirements.
  • Strong and experienced in project planning and coordination.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ought to be a self-starter, have a bias for action and be able to work toward results.
