VP, Business Development - BaaS
Q2’s Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) team is currently looking for a VP of Sales
Summary: This role is focused on the growing and retaining revenue, clients and market share. The VP of Sales will be responsible for growing and managing a team of Sales Managers that are focused on different vertical markets interested in deploying banking-as-a-service capabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develops the strategic sales plans based on organization goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.
- Manages the overall sales process, pipeline forecasting and reporting and sets appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.
- Works closely with marketing team to support revenue objectives for BaaS.
- Participates in direct marketing campaigns for lead generation and for lead tracking and management.
- Collaboration with team members in the organization to assist in developing relationships with key stakeholders across prospects and clients.
- Provides staff leadership and development. Fosters a strong, team-oriented culture, encouraging staff to work together in a creative environment where good ideas are welcomed from all.
- Maintains an excellent relationship with customers with the goal of helping customers grow robust programs and customer retention.
- Participates in Client QBR and Client Reference strategies
- Plays a critical role in driving new sales to meet revenue growth targets for internal products and services.
- Helps to manage and achieve pipeline coverage and win/loss targets
- Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises internal staff and actively participates in their prospect accounts. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include coaching employees; planning, assigning, and leading work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Lead Sales across and cross-functional initiatives of the business.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree required. 18+ years related experience guiding a company strategically in sales.
Language Skills
Ability to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, prospects and partners.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to travel as appropriate to meet annual sales targets.
- Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology (Financial Services strongly preferred)
- Must be comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
- Strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports
- Must be well organized and analytical and be able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
