Paid Search Manager
BigCommerce, named a "Best Place to Work" in Austin in 2017 is looking for a Paid Search Manager to join our team! As a leading SaaS company, we run on data. It drives everything we do, from product roadmaps, to marketing, to client support. Without it, we’re dead in the water. The Paid Search Manager position is an opportunity to manage large scale SEM efforts, gain experience with advanced tools/systems and develop new strategies for the growing the SEM channel. The candidate must possess a passion for ecommerce, strong analytical skills, mastery of online marketing concepts/strategies, exhibit unwavering attention to detail & have extensive experience in the B2B space.
What you'll do
- Ownership of SEM Program: Build, monitor, optimize all campaigns and ad groups across all platforms.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate and present reports, analysis and recommendations for the SEM channel to the marketing team and upper management. Interpret campaign trends and monitor key performance indicators.
- Monitor and adjust campaign to ensure healthy KPI: CPL, Cost Per Click, Quality Scores, Click Thru Rate, Conversion Rate, LTV & Revenue.
- Develop SEM strategies and execute tactics that will expand program traffic, leads and revenue while meeting/exceeding efficiency goals and managing budget.
- Create campaign evaluation processes and bidding strategies that will expand reach, quality lead volume and revenue.
- Website Analysis and Optimization: Work with testing team and product marketing group to analyze performance of key landing pages to increase conversion rate, lead volume, improve lead quality and reduce cost per lead.
- Search Engine Optimization: Utilize keyword research, ranking trends and keyword search volume data to effectively test and expand adgroup keywords, build negative keyword lists and expand program.
- Offline Conversions & Backend Data: Utilize and incorporate data and events occurring outside the SEM platforms and utilize to build audiences and optimize campaigns.
Who you are
- Experienced
- 5+ years related professional experience, including:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing pay-per-click accounts >$300K a month
- 3+ years of experience working with Google Analytics (or similar web analytics platform) - Google Analytics Premium experience a PLUS!
- Experience using SEM campaign management Software like Marin or Kenshoo.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Advertising preferred

- Analytical - Superior analytical skills and well versed in the use of data, content, and technology to influence consumer behavior - Excellent Excel skills are crucial (pivot tables, vlookup, and formulas should excite you).
