Who we're looking for

We’re looking for a senior data/ML engineer to join our new Discovery team, with the aim to surface high-quality recommendations for creators and content across the platform. Your work will directly impact the end user experience of our product, building feedback loops to make Zora a better, more engaging place for creators and traders.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and iterate on retrieval and ranking pipelines that power discovery surfaces across the product, like feed, explore, search, and future ML-driven features
  • Shape evaluation loops by defining high-signal metrics, designing A/B tests, and adjusting weights based on outcomes
  • Build and maintain discovery surfaces for the API, used by the product as well as external partners
  • Communicate status, updates, blockers, etc., to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Respond to incidents as part of an on-call rotation
  • Participate in RFC and code review
What Makes You a Fit
  • 5+ years of experience as an engineer building production data pipelines with ML
  • Proven track record of running experiments effectively
  • Good communication and prioritization skills
  • Ability to ship performant, maintainable code that make reasonable tradeoffs between product needs and technical constraints
  • EU or U.S. (ET) time zone
Strong Candidates May Have…
  • Prior experience with ingestion for blockchain data
  • Strong knowledge of Python and MongoDB
  • Familiarity with modern ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
  • Experience operating within high-ambiguity startup environments
  • Good product intuition and understanding of user needs
