Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer with deep expertise in Power BI, .NET 8, and C#. This role is crucial for developing and integrating sophisticated reporting and analytics capabilities into our product. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader who can design, develop, and optimize reporting solutions while ensuring seamless integration with our existing tech stack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Architect and build scalable in-application reporting features using Power BI, integrating them seamlessly into our .NET 8 and C# based applications.
- Reporting Solutions: Develop and implement interactive and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights and support business decision-making.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on best practices for Power BI integration and reporting development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.
- Optimization: Optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring efficient data retrieval and visualization.
- Integration: Ensure smooth integration of Power BI with various data sources, including SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and other relevant data systems.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to reporting and data visualization, including performance bottlenecks and data discrepancies.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for reporting solutions, including design specifications, user guides, implementation standards, and technical notes.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on Power BI, .NET, and C#.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in Power BI report development, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and data visualization.
- Experience in embedding Power BI in customer-facing applications
- Proficiency in .NET 8 and C# for application development.
- Data Integration: Experience with integrating Power BI with various data sources, such as SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and other data platforms.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex reporting and data issues.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading technical projects and mentoring junior engineers.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with other Microsoft data technologies (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools.
- Prior experience working in vertical or field services SaaS products is a plus.
