We are looking for an experienced financial analyst to forecast and to analyze trends and metrics to support strategic business decisions. This role is based in the Finance team. The successful candidate will develop and refine financial models, key metric reporting and other financial reporting packages, in addition to handling day-to-day activities such as forecasting/planning and ad hoc projects. Duties include working with management to plan and execute the process for annual and semi-annual forecast cycles, analyzing forecast variances, and preparing reports and analysis for management and the Board of Directors. The candidate will be required to have a detailed knowledge of the Company’s accounting processes and a solid understanding of operations. In addition, strong excel financial modeling and analytical skills are essential fundamentals for this role. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis 
  •  Assist in the development of forecasting and budget models (annual, semi-annual, rolling forecasts and plan) which includes the modeling of the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, and capital expenditures
  • Work with the Head of Finance and Corporate Development to develop and communicate financial goals and communicate approved budgets and forecasts to all stakeholders
  • Provide functional managers monthly budget-to-actual analysis and support functional managers in the development of action plans to deal with budget to actual variances.
  • Prepare KPI reports for distribution to senior management
  • Gather industry intelligence and market research from various sources
  • Assist in the preparation of Board of Directors and management presentation materials
  • Assist in implementation of Finance and Accounting team technologies, including an ERP system and other tools
  • Identify and lead process improvement projects that result in enhanced internal and external reporting and forecasting
  • Perform other ad hoc finance and business analyses/projects for stakeholders as needed

  • M&A/Transactional Activities 
  • Assist Finance in due diligence processes; help coordinate and manage information flow to/from potential acquisition targets and/or third parties (i.e., sellers, buyers, legal counsel, accounting firms, investment bankers, etc.)
  • Assist in conducting research and gathering data for strategic planning
  • Create models for various activities such as financing, acquisitions, etc. 
  • What We Like To See / Measures of Success:

    • BS Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • 4-6 years of progressive work experience in finance and financial analysis roles (FP&A roles that support complex modeling, analysis, budgeting and forecasting of business impacts / trends preferred) preferably at a high growth company
    • Advanced financial analysis, forecasting and modeling skills with the ability to translate analysis quickly into takeaways
    • Experience building dynamic, three-statement financial models
    • Strong financial acumen and excellent grasp of corporate finance fundamentals
    • Highly detail-oriented and data-driven
    • Resourceful / able to find or develop compelling data
    • Team player with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present analysis and recommendations in verbal and/or written form
    • Ability to multi-task effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
    • Proactive, results-oriented, with a positive, can-do attitude
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., use of pivot tables, complex formulas, and shortcuts) and strong proficiency in Powerpoint
    • Experience with ERP systems or business intelligence systems a plus
    • Experience in real estate or marketing services industries a plus
