THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will partner closely with business units to manage budgets, drive financial performance, and deliver actionable insights. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments at all levels, including senior leadership. This position is based in Austin, TX, and has a hybrid work schedule. This role reports to the Senior Finance Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with business units to develop, manage, and track budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate departmental performance, investment opportunities, and risk assessments

  • Prepare and present financial reports, highlighting key insights and recommendations to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

  • Analyze variances between actual and forecasted financial performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and long-term strategic planning

  • Support senior leadership with financial insights to drive informed decision-making

  • Build trusted relationships and work collaboratively with cross-departmental leaders and team members

  • Proactively identify process improvements and data-driven opportunities to enhance financial reporting and analysis

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or a related analytical role, with a focus on budgeting and business partnership 

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting techniques

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, GAAP, and corporate finance principles

  • Proficient in Excel, Google Sheets, and experience working with financial planning tools (e.g., Anplan, Planful) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in complex datasets

  • Exceptional communication skills, able to present complex financial data to stakeholders in a clear, actionable way

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

  • Comfortable navigating disparate data to uncover insights

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
