We’re looking for a SaaS experienced, talented backend developer with strong Java experience to join our small but growing development team.  

What you'll do at TrendKite:

• Work on creating REST services to drive business features primarily written in Groovy and Java
• Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a team of smart, passionate developers and product managers
• Rapidly iterate on a search and analytics SaaS product with a quickly growing number of users
• Own features and functionality from design through deployment
• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-performance, high-quality software
• Solve difficult problems while continuously learning, improving, and leaving things better than you found them

What you MUST bring to the table:

• 3+ years experience with strong command of backend Java development
• Good understanding of system design, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, service-oriented solutions, scalable web services
• Experience solving “big data” problems using clustered computing systems, such as Hadoop/MapReduce, Spark/SparkR, Lucene/ElasticSearch, Storm, Cassandra, etc.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured and dynamic environment
• Taste for simplicity and elegance in technical design and implementation as well as an appreciation for test driven development
• Experience with and solid understanding of Microservices
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms and data structures)
• Experience with Agile processes (Kanban preferred)
• Experience with SaaS and cloud-based distributed architecture (AWS preferred)
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident (We are unable to sponsor at this time)
