As the Senior Director of Human Resources, you’ll report to the VP, People and Talent and will be a key leader of the People Teams comprised of the HR, Learning & Development and Recruiting teams. You’ll oversee HR and Recruiting strategies, systems, and policies we need to attract, develop and retain great talent at Accruent to create an enduringly great company. You're a culture leader who can envision and communicate philosophies, feelings, and practices that make a great workplace. You will foster a unified culture that inspires and promotes excellent performance and strong employee engagement and development. Prior experience as head of HR or in a senior HR lead role for a high tech/software or other emerging growth company is required. Experience with M&A and global HR operations is highly preferred. The successful candidate must be able to operate at a strategic, as well as operational, level. The role is based at Accruent headquarters in Austin, Texas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITILES

  • Be a strategic partner on the People Teams leadership team focused on strengthening culture and establishing Accruent as an employer of choice
  • Envision and communicate the philosophies and practices that make a great workplace; think on a strategic/visionary level and can collaborate with our senior leadership to make it real
  • Day to day coaching and management of the HR and Recruiting team
  • Keep a pulse on the employees in the organization to ensure we’re delivering excellence in the employee experience
  • Contributes directly to strategic business decisions, including workforce planning, definition/incorporation of company culture, etc. Leads all aspects of the human resources function, and develops strategies that support the company in achieving its overall business objectives.
  • Develops, manages and executes world class HR and Recruiting programs, including compensation, benefits, performance management, rewards and recognition, compliance, employee relations, HR operations, and HRIS to support the company’s values and culture, and to drive performance.
  • Translate the strategic and tactical business initiatives into HR strategic and operational plans and successfully implement.
  • Ensure that recruiting creates promoters in the candidate, employee and hiring manager populations 100% of the time. 
  • Serve as a strategic partner and advisor to the leadership team and managers. Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and managers to identify and respond to business needs.
  • Develops employee policies and procedures that are in line with corporate objectives and Federal/state employment law.
  • Advises and counsels managers on employee relations matters.
  • Supports company as it sets up operations in new locations, domestic and international.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Human Resources or related field (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certifications a plus)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources/Recruiting positions, with at least 5 in management. Ideally, this experience will have been gained in an entrepreneurial, innovative and high growth technology environment. Software experience required.
  • Recent experience running HR and leading people operations for a high-growth, tech company
  • Experience building and managing HR, culture and talent programs
  • Expertise in global HR, M&A, culture, organizational development, compensation and performance management
  • Strong business partner orientation. See HR as facilitating the business rather than as a control function.
  • High energy, intensity and sense of humor. Thrives in a demanding, performance- and execution-oriented environment.
  • Results-oriented with a strong customer service orientation and ability to operate at all levels of an organization in a rapidly growing environment.
  • Broad knowledge of assorted recruiting techniques, procedures and protocol
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate efficiently and also to achieve consensus.
  • High intellect, with ability to think strategically and creatively in developing plans, while also tactically evaluating and implementing sophisticated HR related programs and initiatives
  • Demonstrated excellence in critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Impeccable personal and business judgment, with uncompromising standards for professional ethics.
