Aerospike is the real-time database for mission-critical use cases and workloads, including machine learning, generative, and agentic AI. Aerospike powers millions of transactions per second with millisecond latency, at a fraction of the total cost of ownership compared to other databases.

Global leaders, including Adobe, Airtel, Barclays, Criteo, DBS Bank, Experian, Grab, HDFC Bank, PayPal, Sony Interactive Entertainment, The Trade Desk, and Wayfair, rely on Aerospike for customer 360, fraud detection, real-time bidding, profile stores, recommendation engines, and other use cases.

At Aerospike, we dream big and deliver even bigger. Our mission is to unleash the power of the world’s real-time data with a database built for infinite scale, speed, and sustainability.

To foster strong team alignment and productivity, Bay Area–based team members are expected to work from the office 3 times per week—typically Tuesday through Thursday.

If you're ready to shape the future of data, join us.

Senior Product Marketing Manager

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (hybrid) or remote (US / EMEA)

The Moment

Over the past several months, we built a new strategic foundation, redefining Aerospike’s positioning, messaging, and narrative, and establishing an operating model aligned to the company’s next phase of growth.

We are now entering the execution phase.

  • Turning strategy into discipline.
  • Turning messaging into organizational clarity.
  • Turning launches into sustained competitive advantage.

We’re hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to help elevate the standard of the function. We are looking for someone who has operated in top-tier SaaS or IaaS  environments.

This is a build-for-excellence role focused on refinement, operational rigor, and raising the bar across the organisation.

The Mandate

As Senior Product Marketing Manager, you’ll operate as a senior peer within an ambitious PMM team, strengthening and operationalizing the strategic direction already in motion.

Elevate the Strategy
  • Pressure-test and refine positioning as the product evolves
  • Ensure clarity is maintained across Product, Sales, and Marketing
  • Close the gap between narrative intent and real-world execution
Build World-Class GTM Discipline
  • Improve and institutionalize launch processes
  • Embed PMM earlier and more structurally in the product lifecycle
  • Ensure major releases land with clarity, proof, and commercial impact
  • Establish measurable accountability for launch success
Strengthen Competitive Advantage
  • Sharpen differentiation in high-stakes competitive environments
  • Improve how our Sales team articulates why we win
  • Ensure proof consistently reinforces positioning
Raise the Bar for the Function
  • Bring experience from high-performing SaaS or IaaS organizations
  • Build high-performance processes without introducing bureaucracy
  • Lead through influence, clarity, and judgement
  • Set a visible standard for excellence across the team

This role does not immediately require people management, it does require leadership, with future management opportunity for those interested.

Who This Is For

We are looking for a senior operator who has seen what exceptional PMM looks like and is motivated to help build that standard here.

You likely have:

  • 10–15+ years in Product Marketing or adjacent strategic roles
  • Experience in high-growth B2B contexts
  • A track record of strengthening positioning, launch rigor, and cross-functional alignment
  • Executive presence and the confidence to challenge constructively
  • A bias toward clarity, precision, and commercial impact

Database experience is welcome but not required.

What matters most is intellectual depth, structured thinking, and the hunger to understand complex products and markets.

Why This Role

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and scale. The direction is defined, but the ceiling is much higher. The product is evolving, and GTM must evolve with it.

If you are motivated by building durable excellence rather than simply shipping assets, this is an opportunity to make a visible and lasting impact.

About Aerospike

Aerospike was built more than 16 years ago on a distinctive architecture designed for the specialised hardware of its time. While this limited early adoption, large-scale deployments at organisations such as PayPal, The Trade Desk, Yahoo, Nokia, and EWS demonstrated the strength and relevance of the technology.

Today, infrastructure that was once costly and specialised has become standard across modern systems, making Aerospike’s differentiated capabilities broadly accessible.

Aerospike is evolving its positioning to reflect this shift, expanding how we compete and aligning our identity with the demands of modern, data-intensive and AI-driven applications.

The architectural principles that defined Aerospike from the beginning are increasingly foundational in the AI era, where scale, consistency, and performance are requirements. The opportunity now is disciplined execution.

Aerospike is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to providing an environment free from discrimination on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability, national origin, veteran status, or any other basis covered by appropriate law.

Join us at Aerospike and be part of a dynamic team that is shaping the future of data management. Salary Range for California Based Applicants: [$160,000 - $210,000] (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law)
