Job Description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Test Engineer - Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to

• Write and execute detailed test strategy, test plans and test design documents based on requirements.
• Participate in product design discussions along with Dev Leads and Architects.
• Use data driven tests to validate UI/API calls in large J2EE n-tier architectures.
• Develop test automation framework for UI and API.
• Identify issues and work on resolution working with business or development groups.
• Perform system diagnostics and research to analyze and resolve problems in both the test and production.
• Set up, configure, and maintain test environments.
• Perform A/B testing and sanity tests on production during the release event.
• Lead a team of qualify engineers providing mentorship and guidance to the team.
• Take ownership and/or lead the engineering responsibility for multiple components in a project.
• Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field, followed by 9 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in an engineer or analyst-related occupation.

• Debugging and troubleshooting problems in Linux/Unix based application servers

Additional Information

Worksite: Austin, TX

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $119,700.00 USD to $191,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
