BMO Bank N.A. seeks Specialist III-IC Business Analysis in San Ramon, CA to investigate and identify strategies to optimize business operations and services, and inform business decisions. Define business requirements to inform technology build and operations by sourcing and analyzing relevant data, reviewing and documenting business processes, and collaborating with business stakeholders. Source business and market data to evaluate the effect of projects on business results. Assess the efficiency and the performance of technology (software, hardware and the wider IT system) to deliver expected business results. Identify and analyze malfunctions, system workflow, and troubleshoots issues raised by business. Elicit requirements and analyze feasibility to ensure solutions/initiatives achieve the expected business outcomes. Support various project teams across the project lifecycle to ensure development is aligned with the business requirements. Develop informative, coherent, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering functional and non-functional business requirements. Apply domain and functional expertise for the assigned portfolio to drive the expected business value. Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations. Build tests cases in order to validate business requirements and end-user testing results.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent, including a 3-year foreign degree) plus five (5) years of experience as a Systems Analyst or related occupation performing data analysis and providing business solutions. Specific skills/other requirements - Experience must include: Utilizing databases including SQL, Oracle, Big Data, or Cloud to perform real-time analytics, data integration, business reporting and supporting business decisions with data insights; Utilizing programming languages including PL/SQL or Java to determine the business logic and data driven Web Services; Utilizing data analysis and visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to perform business reporting and provide data insights to business in making decisions; and leading or developing projects using software development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall. Hybrid role - one day in office per week.

The salary for this specific position in San Ramon, California is $143,707.33/year.

Salary:

$81,400.00 - $151,800.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
