You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Project Manager with experience in highly complex technical projects.  The Project Management function at Apptronik serves as the integrator of the various other business functions that includes engineering, operations, and product.  You will lead software projects for our team of engineers developing a general-purpose humanoid robot.  Your role is aligning software development with hardware delivery to meet both the individual goals of each specific project while also achieving the company’s vision.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Drive actions with agile planning tools, leading sprints & daily scrums
  • Management of multiple small projects in a technical and innovative environment
  • Track and coordinate project to analyze completion against short and long term goals
  • Regularly interact with cross functional team and customers for project updates
  • Balance inter-department needs (engineering, product, business development); owner of project deliverables
  • Identify key risks during project execution, and drive technical team toward solutions

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-Starter with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Experience setting up project schedules & work breakdown structures
  • Hands-on engineering or project management experience in embedded software
  • Excellent written and oral communication in highly technical applications   
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills     
  • Ability to tolerate stress involved with managing multiple highly complex projects   
  • Strong user of project management tools (Jira, Microsoft Project, etc.)   
  • Excellent knowledge of business software tools (Microsoft office suite, G-Suite, Dropbox, etc.)  

Preferred

  • Experience as a practicing Software Engineer or similar
  • Experience with robotics applications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BS in Computer Science or similar engineering field
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in project management

Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
  • Hearing and speech to communicate
