We’re looking for an IT Workday Administrator!
Q2 is a fun, fast growing company that is always looking for innovative opportunities to scale. As such, we’re looking to hire somebody that can provide technical support to our payroll, sales commissions, and HR teams on their various platforms.

You’re the type of person that listens first and talks second in order to fully understand your business partners pain points and needs. You are meticulous in documenting requirements, use cases, and test results. Few others rival your attention to detail. You understand the importance of developing relationships across all levels of the organization. You love working with technology and embrace self-learning. You know how to solve problems and get results! You will have 5+ years technical administration experience in payroll, sales commissions, and human capital management systems (e.g. Workday, Workday Payroll, Xactly).
If you were working for Q2 today, here are some things you would have done recently:
- Tracked operational and project work in Salesforce
- Supported end-users in multiple functions of Workday
- Collaborated with the sales commissions team and IT Business Analyst to build as-is process diagrams to document the current sales commissions process in order to provide process & technical improvement recommendations with Xactly
- Analyzed, tested, and configured Security changes in Workday and implemented into production via a Change Request process.
- Partnered with functional teams to plan, test, train, and deliver on cross-departmental projects.
- Updated 401K employer match pay component from 20% to 50%
- Troubleshooted and fixed time entry errors
- Troubleshooted and fixed overpayment issue for workers on Parental leave
- Setup ledgers and ledger periods for 2021 in Workday Payroll
- Updated period schedules for payroll and time tracking for 2021
- Scheduled monthly and quarterly payroll integrations to ADP for 2021
- Updated holiday calendars and absence schedules for 2021
- Updated business processes to notify payroll for remote hires and locations changes to review/update payroll tax locations
- Built PECI integration from Workday to ADP for India employees
- Built Payslips integration from ADP to Workday for India employees
- Troubleshooted and resolved errors with Payslips integrations for UK and Australia employees
- Updated WD > Concur reports to include the line of business
- Built a new integration from Workday to xMatters
- Engage with internal IT members in situations such as complex integrations and Okta configuration.
- Provided supporting documentation for monthly and quarterly SOX audits
- Prepared SOC Memos using 3rd Party SOC reports for certification in AuditBoard.
- Gathered requirements and created a project plan to merge two US entities and using Workday Payroll for both entities
